CENTER TOWNSHIP FIRE RECEIVES DNR GRANT!

Center Township Fire Department submitted an application to the Department of Natural Resources grant program. The grant program is a 50/50 match up to $5,000.00. Center Township received notification via mail on June 05, 2008 that their application had been awarded. With the $5,000.00 from DNR and $5,565.00 supplied by the Center Township Fire fund (through the Township Trustee) the department will be able to purchase 15 new portable radios for the members at a total cost of $10,565.00.

A Motorola HT-1250 VHF cost approximately $699.00

Programming Cost $80.00

Total Cost of the project: $10,565.00

CENTER TOWNSHIP FIRE RECEIVES REMC GRANT!

Security System will be purchased.

The Center Township fire department was awarded a grant from REMC for $1,500.00. The grant will help cover the cost of a video surveillance system for the fire station. The fire department has not had any problems thus far, but the system will help to protect the equipment the fire department owns.

EMT - Intermediate Class

Center Township Fire is looking to host an EMT - Intermediate Class. A minimum of 10 students is required.
